Options:

Center Base: 3 to 5 Head Start is free comprehensive early childhood program that provides educational, medical, dental, nutritional and mental health services. Head Start offers assistance to income eligible families with children in developing socially, emotionally adn cognitively. Currently we have centers in Jamestown (86 children) and Valley City (52 children).

Home Base: 3 to 5 Head Start offers home base services to families in their home one time a week for 1 1/2 hour each time. These visits are planned collaboratively with the parents to support their roles as primary caregivers of the child and to facilitate the child's optimal development. The home base option is for families who choose to stay home with their children, want to increase their knowledge of their child's development and strengthen their relationship between themselves and their child.

Combination Classrooms: 3 to 5 Head Start currently offers a combination of classroom time and home visits. These classrooms are in Ellendale and New Rockford. They meet for 3 1/2 hours, 3 times a week, with scheduled home visits September through May.
