Mission Statement:
Early Explorers Head Start and Early Head Start are comprehensive
early childhood development programs, which focus on providing quality
services through partnerships with families and communities. The
partnership will; advocate for families, continue to change to meet
community needs, collaborate with community agencies, promote best
practices in early childhood care and education, and provide training
and career development opportunities. Early Explorers Head Start
provides unique program strengths such as: Male Involvement - Mr.
Reader program, Let Me Play Activity Nights, Men and Muffins and
MAPS (Men Achieving Parental Success) Newsletter; Monthly Mental Health Moments Newsletters;
and Service Partnerships with local schools, special education units,
child care and other community agencies.

Early Explorers Head
Start provides comprehensive child development programming in a
nine county area. Service options available:
Home Based - 4 home
visits per month and 2 socialization opportunities located in Harvey.
2 & 2 Combination option -
2 home visits per month and 2 classroom days per week in Drake.
3 & 1 Option - 1 home visit per month and 3 classroom days per week Tuesday through Thursday in Maddock, Towner and Turtle Lake.
Center Based - 2 home visits per year and 4 classroom days per week Monday through Thursday. Classrooms are located
in Bottineau, Devils Lake (4 classrooms), Harvey, Rugby and Velva.
